Booking an Appointment
Appointments are face-to-face in Dr Crowder's Sydney, CBD rooms. For existing patients, short telehealth consults (up to 15 minutes) can be arranged if needed.

To make an appointment, you need a referral from your GP or medical centre where you are a current and ongoing patient. Your referral should indicate that you may have a clinical problem that is among the conditions treated at this practice. Dr Crowder will collaborate with the physical health doctor (or practice) with whom you have a regular relationship to ensure that you receive a high standard of continuing care. ​

A GP referral is also necessary to obtain Medicare rebates that significantly reduce the cost to you. See the Fees section of this website for more information. The clinic will facilitate the Medicare rebate on your behalf.
If you don’t have a GP, please arrange to see one you feel comfortable staying with for the duration of your psychiatric treatment. Once Dr Crowder has reviewed your referral, a clinic receptionist will be in touch. If your needs align with her area of practice, you’ll be invited to book an appointment. If your needs fall outside the scope of her services, we’ll let you know. In that case, you may find it helpful to consult one of two directories for help with finding another psychiatrist.​​​​
​Please note that patients are seen at Solid Ground Psychiatry by pre-arranged appointment only. The clinic is not able to provide emergency or crisis services. If you need urgent support, please visit our Crisis Supports page for information about 24-hour help available to you now.
Cancelled & Late Appointments
No Penalty Cancellations
If you need to cancel an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible by phone or email. You won’t be charged for a missed appointment. Life happens. Our goal is to support you, not to profit from unexpected changes in your circumstances.

​Late to Appointments
If you are running late, please call ahead or email to inform us. Dr Crowder will be happy to see you for the time remaining in your appointment, but the fee will reflect the full time that had been booked. Appointments can only be extended if there is no one scheduled immediately after you.
